I am a trauma-informed mental health professional with experience in crisis intervention, emergency department social work, and culturally responsive care. I received my Master of Social Work from Columbia University and have worked extensively with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, burnout, identity development, and major life transitions.
As a Pakistani American hijabi woman, my work is deeply informed by my understanding of multicultural identities, intergenerational experiences, and the importance of representation within mental health spaces. I am especially passionate about supporting BIPOC communities, Muslim clients, women, healthcare workers, and young adults navigating cultural and interpersonal stressors.
My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from strengths-based, person-centered, and trauma-informed modalities with an emphasis on empowerment, resilience, and authenticity.
Outside of my professional work, I am passionate about creative writing, art, fashion, and cultural studies, and I enjoy exploring the intersections of identity, storytelling, and healing. I value mindfulness, spirituality, and spending time with family and community.
