With a deep commitment to supporting children, adolescents, and families, my therapeutic approach is centered on providing trauma-informed care that fosters long-term healing and growth. I specialize in working with children and teens who have experienced trauma (abuse, divorce, grief, attachment disruptions). Recognizing that each child processes trauma differently, I adapt my approach to each child’s unique needs, incorporating a range of techniques such as verbal communication, play, and creative activities to help them express themselves and process their experiences. My goal is to ensure each child feels safe and supported in their therapeutic journey. This tailored approach helps children not only understand their emotions but also develop the skills needed to navigate life’s complexities with confidence.
I believe in working closely with parents to help them understand their child’s emotional needs including providing strategies to support their child’s healing and growth at home. By offering guidance and fostering open communication, I empower parents to actively engage in their child’s therapeutic process. This partnership strengthens the foundation for lasting change, creating a nurturing environment where children and families can thrive together.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, experimenting with new recipes, exploring the Pacific Northwest, and keeping up with my energetic dog.
