Starting therapy takes courage, and my goal from the first session is to make that step feel worth it. I work with individuals and couples to untangle what's been weighing on them — the patterns that keep showing up in conflict, the distance that's crept into a relationship, the stress that's harder to shake than it used to be.
A lot of what I do is help people slow down enough to actually see what's happening. Not just the argument that happened last Tuesday, but what's underneath it — the attachment wounds, the communication habits, the ways that stress and history shape how we show up with the people we love. From there, the work becomes practical: new ways to respond, tools that actually translate to real life outside the therapy room.
I work with couples navigating communication breakdowns, emotional distance, and the kinds of relational injuries that can quietly erode a relationship over time. I'm trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), an approach grounded in attachment science and one of the most well-researched methods for helping couples reconnect.
I also offer sessions in Mandarin (普通话/国语), which matters more than it might seem. Talking about relationships, family dynamics, and emotional experience in your first language — or in the cultural context you actually grew up in — changes what's possible in therapy. I understand the specific pressures that can come with bicultural relationships, immigrant family dynamics, and navigating identity across cultures.
My approach isn't clinical or detached. Sessions feel like a real conversation. I'll push when it's helpful, but you'll never feel judged for where you're starting from.
